The Mountain Mystic Podcast
Welcome to a new form of ascension path: an embodied spirituality that unfolds as we deepen into our present, lived experience for all that it is in these wild, often chaotic, often painful and challenging, yet infinitely beautiful lives lived as human beings. An embodied spirituality: one that demands that we know our very real, very alive world here on planet earth as we simultaneously learn to go within, know ourselves ever-more-deeply, and learn the discerning path of healing, of transformation, and of wild & deep fulfillment.
When I left my life as a Biomedical Researcher in pursuit of a path that could truly help heal the world, I didn't expect my greatest teacher to come in the form of Earth, herself. But that's what happened! Along with guidance from a diverse set of ancient wisdom traditions and some phenomenal modern teachers, I've been able to carve out my own path out of a modern industrial complex and, moment by moment, learn to choose what is healing and nurturing and joyful and fulfilling!
As a trail runner and rock climber, it is my bond with the great outdoors that taught me deep truths about our misalignment with Nature and our own selves. Here, may we step into conversation focused on re-alignment with our true nature. Through it, may we find a better path forward as we heal the deep wounds cut into all living systems.
Systems thinking meets Embodied Living & Holistic Healing: Brought to you by the mind of a Biomedical Engineer turned Yoga & Meditation Teacher.

The Great Dance of Movement and Stillness on your Path to Presence
Stillness meditation is all the rage, isn't it? We sit in quiet stillness and call in the light and peace that is here to answer all of our prayers! But this is only one side of the story! For how can we sit in stillness unless we allow ourselves to move! To move our bodies freely as we move and and awaken the energies within.
Today on the Upward Slopes Podcast I share my favorite practice on Planet Earth: One that has everything to do with getting outside (in the forest, on a mountain, in the desert....) and to move my body through this world. Can you guess what comes after the movement?
Embodied Living is about learning to be present with self in whatever moment arises. Sometimes, we must move to move that which is too intense or too dormant, moving out and awakening what is being asked to show up for this present moment. Other times, we find stillness, move into quietude and deepen into what is alive here and now.
Can we learn the great dance between movement and stillness as we walk through life attuned to that which most serves the fullness of this present moment?
